The containers were delivered without lids but are fully operational and will enable the community to expand coverage of regular waste collection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"473\" src=\"https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012-1024x473.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-955\" srcset=\"https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012-1024x473.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012-300x139.jpg 300w, https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012-768x355.jpg 768w, https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012-1536x709.jpg 1536w, https:\/\/wm4u.org.ua\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2025\/09\/img-20250915-wa0012.jpg 1600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The supplied containers will help Luka-Meleshkivska community to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>establish more systematic collection of household solid waste in its settlements;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>improve the logistics of waste removal;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>reduce the number of illegal dumpsites.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWaste is everyone\u2019s responsibility. In the coming weeks, another shipment is expected \u2013 <strong>352 PWS containers (190 L each)<\/strong> from <strong>Sigtuna Vatten och Renh\u00e5llning<\/strong>, located near Stockholm. The batch has already been loaded and is ready for dispatch to Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cSupport from Swedish municipalities enables communities to strengthen infrastructure more quickly and make significant progress towards implementing a modern waste management system. This is not just equipment \u2013 it is an investment in sustainability and in building community trust in local authorities,\u201d<\/em> said <strong>Klas Svensson<\/strong>, International Donations Coordinator of the WM4U Programme.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Through close cooperation with Swedish municipalities, the WM4U programme provides Ukrainian communities with equipment that, although previously used, remains of high quality and can effectively serve in new conditions.
