Vinnytsia received 352 waste containers from Sigtuna municipality
On 7 October, the Vinnytsia city community received a batch of waste containers within the framework of technical assistance provided by the WM4U Programme.
The community received 352 containers with a capacity of 190 litres, donated by the Swedish company Sigtuna Vatten & Renhållning, Sigtuna municipality.
The donated equipment will be installed in public institutions across the community to ensure proper waste management, convenient sorting, and improved sanitary conditions in surrounding areas.
“We are pleased to see how cooperation between Swedish municipalities and Ukrainian communities is bringing tangible results. The delivery of containers to Vinnytsia is another step towards making waste management systems more modern, sustainable, and efficient. It is important for us to support those communities that strive for practical changes and create a comfortable environment for their residents,” said Klas Svensson, WM4U Programme Coordinator for International Technical Assistance.
The WM4U Programme continues to actively cooperate with Swedish municipalities that donate high-quality used equipment to Ukrainian communities. This approach helps strengthen sustainable infrastructure, reduce waste, and promote a new culture of responsible waste management at the local level.
