The Vinnytsia community continues to work on the Local Waste Management Plan, which will outline the development of the community’s waste management system through 2036.

The document will help optimize waste collection, transportation, and processing in accordance with EU standards and the principles of the circular economy.

Currently, the community is updating the composition of the working group that will prepare proposals for the future plan. Everyone interested in developing an effective waste management system is invited to participate.

Community residents are also encouraged to contribute to shaping the future plan and submit their suggestions for improving the waste management system. This will help address local needs and develop practical solutions for more environmentally friendly and efficient waste management.

Work on the plan will take place within the Swedish-Ukrainian WM4U Programme, which aims to support the development of modern, systemic, and environmentally responsible waste management solutions at local, regional and national levels. The programme is funded by the Government of Sweden through Sida and led by Avfall Sverige and SALAR International.
