The Kremenchuk City Council is developing the Kremenchuk Community Local Waste Management Plan (LWMP). The Local Waste Management Plan is a document that will define the objectives and measures for sustainable waste management in the community until 20356.

Representatives of businesses, institutions, higher education institutions, research institutions, associations of local self-government bodies, and civil society organizations interested in the process of shaping waste management policy in the Kremenchuk community are invited to join the Working Group.

The community also calls on all concerned citizens to submit their proposals for the LWM Plan.

Work on the plan will take place within the Swedish–Ukrainian WM4U Programme, which aims to support the development of modern, systemic, and environmentally responsible waste management solutions at local, regional and national levels. The program is funded by the Government of Sweden through Sida and led by Avfall Sverige and SALAR International.
