Another step towards common European approaches to waste sorting and recycling: Ukraine has joined EUpicto through the Ministry for Recovery, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine. EUpicto is a system that promotes consistent communication regarding waste collection and recycling.
As part of WM4U, we supported the introduction in Ukraine of the Nordic-Baltic labelling system — a unified approach that helps people sort waste correctly and enables waste management systems to collect and recycle it more efficiently.
Joining EUpicto strengthens Ukraine’s integration into the European community in the field of waste management and represents a practical contribution to the green transition and alignment with EU environmental standards.
For WM4U, this is an important outcome of the cooperation between Ukraine and Sweden, which helps to establish clear and harmonised rules for waste collection and recycling.
